On Friday, December 8th I had the great
privilege of being kindly invited by Illustrator & Designer Igor Karash and
Brad Loudenback, Painter & Chair of the Illustration Department to come and
present my artwork at DADAH, Webster University Department of Art, Design &
Art History, in Saint-Louis, Missouri, http://www.dadahwebsteru.com/
DADAH was interested to better understand the reasons of my flexibility and freedom
in style and technique while doing Comics, Illustration, etc. along with the
different experiences/jobs I had such as Coordinator/Publisher/Teacher. As I
have no secret… I said it all!
the master class started with a short presentation
of some originals, a demo of a few technique (as I normally do at MICA), with a
particular emphasize on the gouache technique. The students were great and did
really well.
The lecture took place in the auditorium
Sverdrup 123 (filled on both sides by Photographs of Hollywood at the
beginning of the XX century. Saint-Louis is a main place in the US for Theatre
and Cinema Studies).
None of this would have been possible
without the kindness and dedication of Brad Loudenback and particularly Igor Karash,
my guardian angel during these few days in St. Louis (on my left on the picture above), on the banks of the
Mississippi River. To both of them, along with Gwynn and Svetlana who have
warmly welcomed me, please accept here my gratitude and my friendship.
