Some of my pieces for Granta Magazine #4 Portugal; CQ41 were selected by Caitlin Karolczak (fine artist, Minnesota/New York), Page Tsou (illustrator, Taiwan), Reiner Hebe (graphic designer, Germany), Daniel Featherstone (photographer, New York) to be part of the Creative Quarterly 100 Best 2016.
As a winner in Creative Quarterly's 2016 competitions (CQ 41 - 44), my work was automatically entered in their year-end juried competition. The judges were asked to select the top 25 pieces in each of their four categories. The distinguished jury included those profiled in last year's magazine.
Thanks Son for your help!

A spicy not so spicy Italian sausage, 2 beers and a few sketches of nice people while listening at Rufus Roundtree and Da B'more Brass Factory at the Lexington Market, one of my favourite (warmest) place in Baltimore City. It sounds like any other place in Brazil according to Rodrigo Mafra and Natalia Calamari. Then, I met Janet, 77 years old and she said...
2nd Saturday at the Lexington Market, Baltimore. The band (Nadine Rae and the All Stars) was OK but not sure I got inspired enough by the beat. Anyway, the surprise of the day was a new policy: it's no longer allowed to drink without eating. I made a deal with a Korean shop: An spicy Italian sausage for 2 beers (I was clearly ready for 3). Doing sketches is sometimes painful and I repeat myself. Well, one day or another, something good will come from these.
